Sunday in Wisconsin

Today was a pretty good day.

John and I fell asleep downstairs on the futons last night, after watching 30 Rock for hours and hours.  I love that show.  LOVE.  We got up, took showers and whatever, then headed up to the Dells so I could see my family.

First we went to my Dad's, and no one was home.   We threw the football around a bit, then headed up to my Mom's house.  We hung around at her place for a few hours.  Got lots of mommy hugs and kisses.  :D  I love my mommy.

After we did that, we headed over to my Dad's.  John was working on homework in the car when I went in.  Dad made grilled cheese and Tomato soup.  The soup was delicious.  The grilled cheese was perfect.  Seeing my awesome family was great.  I played with Nick all night.

He showed me all of his drawings he has been saving that he has done in Kindergarten.  ALL of them.  They are great. He's reading some words by sight.  "Look at the brown dog."  "Here is a yellow cat."  Awesome. After we looked through them all, he told me I could have any of them that I wanted.  He drew a picture for me when he found out I was coming.  Also, he gave me an awesome pumpkin.  Unfortunately, I left them at the house.  I feel like such a loon.

Apparently Nick has been asking why I can't just live with them.  Or why they can't move to Utah.  I'm missing a lot by living in Utah.  Being here in Wisconsin always reminds me of that.  I need to find a way to step up my life in Utah to really warrant missing what I have here, otherwise, I am going to go crazy.

The fam wants me to come to Wisconsin for Christmas.  Flights are expensive, but, I have this $250 American Airlines Voucher... I am going to look into pricing.  It'll be fun to spend a lot more time here.  I think maybe I should.

Anyway... I am having a blast.  I'll be back to Utah tomorrow,  and then Tuesday comes the start of stepping up the life there.  If things don't get better in Utah, I'm going to be disappointed in myself.  I really need to have better reasons I am missing out on family.  Or I just need to stop missing out.  Suck.

Haha.  I haven't really thought this post through.  I just started typing.  I'll remember what there is for me in Utah when I get back.  It's just hard to see right now.
