I thought It'd be fun to post an old note from facebook as a blog post for today. What the heck, right? I mean, I'm just a couple of posts away from finishing NaBloPoMo! Just FYI... The roommate I am speaking of in this post is Alan, from when I used to live in Sandy. Not Greg. Greg is equally as excited about WalMart as I am.
Here it is:
So I get home, and I got a couple of packages. One is an extremely awesome Christmas Present for Brit, and the other is a little package from my Aunt and Uncle.
Now I'm a fat guy, and for the last few years, I have received gift certificates to various fast food restaurants from my Aunt and Uncle. You would think this would make me a bit bitter them being, but it really doesn't. What can I say, I eat a lot of fast food.
Anyway.. My roommate gets really excited when I get stuff in the mail, infact, sometimes he even opens my mail if I get home late and he can't take it. So there he is, looking over my shoulder, asking "whatdya get whatdya get?" I tell him the whole fast food thing, and when I finally open the envelope, it's a $50 gift card to Wal-Mart!
I was way exctied. Beyond excited even. Exstatic. I was like, "Yes! A Wal-Mart card!" And my roommate starts the hate speech. "Ew, now you have to go to Wal-Mart." Screw him. Wal-mart has everything. Other than the fact that they are taking over the world and stealing from us and giving to China, why WOULDN'T you shop at Wal-Mart. The highest quality store brands, the cheapest name bransds, and everything you could ever need all in one store.
In fact, They have giftcards to OTHER stores! (I think, I've never needed a card to another store seeing how Wal-Mart has everything I need) So I literally got $50 in anything I want. They didn't send cash which can seem sort of un thoughtful, but a $50 Wal-Mart gift card, the best gift on the planet.
Anyway, I'll sum this note up with a good Christian Philosphy.
Don't hate the sinner, hate the sin.
Don't hate on me for shopping at Wal-Mart. I can't help it. Just hate Wal-Mart for being Wal-Mart. The Robin Hood of the global economy.
A-Holes.
