Derek & John Brewer Birthday Bash trip to Wisconsin

So, It's been over a month since I have been home from Wisconsin on my birthday party trip home. I figured it was just about time to sit down and actually blog out some of the fun I actually had. This blog will be fun reread later as some of the little things I'll forget about later should still be relatively fresh in my mind right now.

It's 2:30 in the morning, and for whatever reason, I'm just not tired yet, so, yeah. Blog time.
I feel like I really want a Mountain Dew right now. I'm going to run to Maverik and grab one. BRB. Got it. 2 (two) 1 (one) liter bottles. Buy one get one for a quarter? Who can pass that up? Sometimes I feel like the best part of being an adult is being able to make a decision like that on a whim. MmM.

I've been debating whether or not I want to include pictures on this post, considering I could probably put 60 in. I think I'll just put some of my favorites up. Here's a link to the Wisconsin trip album, if you are interested:

I figure I'll attack the awesomeness that was this week by using the blog I posted last month as a guide. I'll cover what each of the keywords I listed actually had to do with. Ok. Here it goes.

Wednesday in Milwaukee. Milwaukee's Best Burger?

Ah Wednesday. I left my house to get to the airport at around 330 in the morning, I believe. I dropped off my car at the Diamond Airport parking lot on Redwood, which, let me say was an awesome experience. $30 for a week of parking, shuttle to the airport, free bottles of water, and a carwash at the end of it all was not bad at all. Check them out here.
Got to the airport with plenty of time, and then the fun began. I got myself a free set of wing stickers on the plane, which they were handing out to all of the children. And Derek.

Anyway, I got into Milwaukee hungry. I made Katie take me to restaurant I found online before I got out there. Sobelman's.
http://www.milwaukeesbestburgers.com/ This place was not that good. I was pretty disappointed, but, it wasn't BAD. They had... Cheeseballs? They weren't exactly cheese curds, but, again, they weren't bad. Just don't ever go there. It is a disappointment.

brewery. bunghole stuffer. Rootbeer. Katie.

This is a little out of order, but, We headed to a Brewery. Lakefront Brewery, INC to be exact. I figured since we were in Milwaukee, we should check out a Brewery tour. I'd lived in Wisconsin for years and never learned or seen the art of brewing. Since the Miller Brewery tour was not open on a Wednesday, we settled for the completely dumb-downed version.

Our Brewery tour consisted of a drunk brother-of-the-owner walking us around the brewery, holding up pictures of wheat fields and hops, making corny beer jokes that were obviously canned, and ALOT of talking about brewing. Pretty boring. But, it was a nice day, it smelled amazing, and, heck, I was with Katie. We had a blast. I feel like it would be wrong to say "I forgot how much fun Katie can be" but that's not true. I knew, it was just awesome to be reminded.

On this Brewery tour, we were taught what a "Bung, Bung hole, and Bung hole stuffer" are. I mean, I already knew, but, for those of you who don't, A bunghole is a hole in a barrel used in the fermentation (I think). Technically, a bung is what fills the bunghole, but, our guide called it a "Bunghole stuffer" and since it was closest to my birthday out of everyone's on the tour, I took home my very own bunghole stuffer. AKA, a Cork.

They made an amazing rootbeer at this Brewery. "Golden Maple Rootbeer" I can't exactly remember what was in it, but, I Know there wasn't High Fructose Corn Syrup, and there was Maple Syrup, and cane sugar, along with other yummy things. It was so good. Mmm.

public transportation. game. craxy ladies. seats. jesus.

We rode the bus over to the baseball game that night, and I nearly killed Katie at one point when, I believe while trying to move seats, the bus made a sudden move. That bus was nuts. It was stuffed FULL of people on the way back too. I like riding the bus though. Even that was fun to do with Katie.

The game was great. We had awesome seats just behind 1st base, 4 rows back. It was a pretty close one, so, it kept it exciting. We ate a good pound of peanuts it felt like. There were some crazy ladies sitting a few seats down and a couple of rows up from us. I got a couple of good photos of them. They were diehards. Or drunk. Or, considering I was in Wisconsin, they were probably both.

Ok. It's been an hour. That is enough for tonight. I need some sleep. Blogger's word processor is frustrating me. I think it's gay, and I'm sure it probably thinks I'm gay. We can't see eye to eye. I think after tonight, I'm going to be using Open Office to type my blogs, then I'll paste them into blogger. Does anyone else use anything special to format? Seriously. This word processor BLOWS. Notice the weird font changes and sizes up there? Yeah. I didn't choose them.

Sunburnt

How is it possible that I always forget that I have to put sunscreen on my head? I literally looked like a tomato after this weekend. Saturday @ Lagoon + Sunday @ a Bee's game with no sunscreen really did a number on my scalp.

I got a scalp burn. I got a bad one last summer too. I remember telling myself, "Never let this happen again. When you're scalp peels, it itches, and when you scratch it, hair that never grows back falls out."

Well guess what point I'm at? I'm at the scratching at hair that will never grow back point. I'm trying everything I can but scratching. Rubbing my head in a circular motion, Aloe spray sprayed directly to the skin, and Aloe creme rubbed right on the scalp, and nothing. It itches. I want to scratch. I don't want to be bald.

What a dilemma. You are lucky you don't have my life. These trials are almost overwhelming. Anyway, I really need to blog a bit about my trip to Wisconsin. It's been a month now, and I haven't written anything. I'll do it... Sometime this weekend. Or next week. Then I'd like to write about this last weekend that was a blast. Then I'd like to write about cleaning my room. Then I'd like to write about a girl. Then I'd like to write down some of my thoughts on what I'm supposed to do next, and why or why not. I'd like to read a few books and then post what I'm learning from them.

Let's see which of these things I actually do, and which I just blog about doing maybe. Ah life. It's time to really start figuring it out. Or maybe I'll just let it do the figuring for me. It's not been so bad so far, right?

I Forgot I could do this from my phone...

Im just trying to see if this mobile blogging thing still works. Im sure it does. This is the perfect opportunity for me to practice on the qwerty keyboard on my phone. Im starting to get used to it, and im pretty fast, but, i think it causes my fingers more stress than T-9. We'll see in 20 years I guess. Anyway, I really only posted this to ask if anyone uses the little toilet seat covers in bathrooms. Miriam's blog got me thinking about them. I personally don't use them. sometimes, i hear people get them in the stall next to me, and i feel like i need to too. in those situations, i pull a cover out, wrinkle it around, ball it up, and throw it in the toilet. I do this all for the sake of the anonymous person in the stall next to me. you are welcome, sir.

Derek is apparently not a blogger, or atleast not a serious one.

Based on the amount of time that has passed since my last entry, I have decided that I am not a blogger. I'm still going to post things, but, I am failing at my third attempt at having a blog. Do I try harder or give up?

I just don't think I have what it takes. I'll keep trying, but, I'm definitely never going to be like my co-worker Emily, who is literally reading a book on blogging. READING A BOOK.

Yeah. I took photos to prove it:

Yep. Not only does she have a book on blogging, she has been marking it up all day. Highlighting, Underlining, Pondering, Ah Ha-ing. I think it's good to have an influence like her sitting by me at work, or I might not have ever updated this thing again.
